Kraton G® Handled Fighting/Utility Knifes
A remake of the ever-popular and sought-after knife issued to the Department of the Navy during WWII, the Mark I features a non-reflective black blade that is epoxy powder-coated. Tests prove the finish is more durable than ever. The classic oval shape of the original KA-BAR® remains and has been modernized with a material nearly impervious to sweat, chemicals, water and wear - Kraton G®.
Kraton G® Handle
The Black handle on the Kraton G® Handled Mark I by KA-BAR® is made from Kraton G®. Referred to simply as Kraton, it is a synthetic rubber that can be molded into knife handles. Kraton provides a non-slip grip.
1095 Cro-Van Steel Blade
The Fixed Blade on the Kraton G® Handled Mark I by KA-BAR® is made from 1095 CRO-VAN Steel and features a Flat grind. 1095 CRO-VAN steel is easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. Proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR Knives. With a Rockwell hardness rating of 56-58, this Clip Point shaped blade is 5.125 inches long and is stamped with USA.
Black Glass Filled Nylon Sheath
Included with the Kraton G® Handled Mark I, by KA-BAR® is a Black Glass Filled Nylon sheath with KA-BAR stamped on it.This Black Glass Filled Nylon sheath is MOLLE compatible.
