The Blade Grinding Attachment is an essential tool for knife enthusiasts who are looking for a high-quality, precise machine to shape, sharpen and hone their blades. Designed to endure the rigors of heavy shaping and sharpening tasks, the Blade Grinding Attachment is constructed using cast metal components and engineered polymers.

Adjustable Belt System

The Blade Grinding Attachment uses a 1”x18” engineered abrasive belt system that is fully adjustable from 10° to 35° in 1° increments. The system is equipped with a 4-pulley design, which allows for a wide range of grits and belt speeds from 1200-2800 SFM (square feet per minute), making it suitable for a variety of sharpening and honing tasks.

Customizable Cutting Edge

The center position of the top two pulleys of the Blade Grinding Attachment is adjustable, allowing you to set your preferred belt deflection for a full convex or a near flat convex edge. This feature lets you customize your cutting edge to best meet your needs and preferences.

Professional-Grade Results

The Blade Grinding Attachment is similar in design to the systems professional blade makers use, providing you with a high-quality, precise machine to shape, sharpen and hone your blades. It quickly connects to the Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener without the need for tools, and belts are easily changed by hand.

The Blade Grinding Attachment comes with a P120 Extra-Coarse Belt (120 grit), X65 Coarse Abrasive Belt (220 grit), X22 Medium Abrasive Belt (1000 grit), X4 Fine Abrasive Belt (3000 grit), 12000 Extra-Fine Abrasive Belt (12000 grit), and a Quick Start Guide.
